The client contacted us knowing the ground conditions were poor after excavating the ground for a single storey extension. After a site inspection we confirmed which type of piling method was required for this project. The client wanted to use our engineer and they were quoted based on their cost-effective design. We always ask our clients whether they want to use our engineer or their own. Health and safety RAMS were created and sent out to the client alongside a confirmation of services.
In just 1.5 days we completed the installation of 10x150mm piles that went to the depths of 4 mtrs and 18.5lm of ground beam were placed into position. Once the building inspector signed off the groundwork, concrete was then installed. The concrete fills the trenches right up to the top covering the piles and ground beam creating a solidified structure.
All the relevant paperwork was sent to the client alongside the structural engineer’s calculations.
